25 November 2005: Today's treat you can blame on Marton Koppany, who requested it: "The Odysseus Suite"--poorly reproduced, alas:





I believe this is my first fully-visual mathemakuical sequence. It's always been one of my favorites. One of these days I may do a colored version. I think it works pretty well in black and white. Black and white, in fact, is quite appropriate for something based on a narrative from the beginnings of Civilization. So I certainly won't replace this version. But I think I could take the idea into interesting colors.

The quotient in the top frame, incidentally, is the word "ocean," in various spellings, over and over.
