Daily Notes on Poetry & Related Matters

June 4: So far my medical news is good: none of the several medical tests I've undergone has turned up anything abnormal. I feel okay, but have no go at all today. MRI of lower back Friday, stress test Tuesday. I've decided what I've experienced was one of my extremely mild anxiety attacks--brought on but slight actual aches and pains, and a one-time slightly high blood pressure reading. I skipped my blood pressure medicine today (so far), by the way. Just experimenting. But no bad readings yet.

Happiest news to report is that after a couple of weeks feeling that my Otoliths collection was minor at best, I looked through it again yesterday, and decided it was me at my best, and that that was pretty good. This was after I'd seen my general practitioner, and been assured that he was almost totally certain I had no heart or circulation problems.

The news from Lulu about my book is that its Lulu Sales Rank is 22,689. I can't believe Lulu has over twenty thousand other books for sale, so don't know what to make of that, except that sales ain't been too good. But the page advertising my book says that people buying my book also have bought:

         * This Poem/What Speaks?/A Day (Tom Beckett)
         * That Tiny Insane Voluptuousness (Kathleen Rooney, Elisa Gabbert)
         * Collective Instant (William Allegrezza)

Yesterday, Marton Koppany's Endgames was on this list, so that means at least two of my books have been sold, yes? That seems a lot. On the other hand, maybe one person bought a copy who also bought Marton's book plus the three list above, and his four purchases are being rotated. . . .

Hey, while gabbing about the book, I ought to advertise it: you can read about it HERE.
