June 10: Yesterday, I finally started work on my main project of the summer, getting Writing To Be Seen, Volume Two, ready for publication. Twenty pages of works from each of the following eleven visual poets: Irving Weiss, Richard Kostelanetz, Liz Was, Me, Crag Hill, mEIKAL aND, Paul Zelevansky, Mike Basinski, John M. Bennett, Jonathan Brannen, John Vieira. I had planned to start on this Saturday, but procrastinated, as usual. I got three sets of works scanned yesterday, though. I'll be happy if I get just one set scanned today. My excuse: I spent the morning undergoing a stress test. It shouldn't have been a big deal, but I experienced shortness of breath almost immediately, I don't know why. I kept going, though, and did all I was supposed to do. I go back to the clinic Thursday for more pictures. I feel like I flunked the exam, so am emotionally exhausted. That's not something I like to admit, but I can't get away from the fact that I'm much more a girl than I'd like to be. Anyway, right now--around noon--I want to take a nap. Maybe after that I'll feel up to continuing on Writing To Be Seen. Ain't gonna do no more on this, though.
