Daily Notes on Poetry & Related Matters

April 18: Remember my poem about a reader splashing into an old poem? I've had the graphic below ready to use in it for a week or more but just haven't gotten around to taking the last step. It involves splicing a text into the graphic. The text will probably be, "and it's summer again." I'm scared to do it, which is ridiculous. I think I'll ruin it, but I can't, because it what I do doesn't work, I don't have to use it. I think probably what I'm really scared of is its not working, and my not thinking of anything better. I do think my graphic about as good a visimagistic evocation of summer as can be. It's the graphic from my "Mathemaku for William Blake" recolored, changes lightly, and cropped slightly.
