May 9: As I write this at around ten the night of 8 May, I have some opium in me (from a pain pill taken for various aches, but in particular a tooth-ache I'm hoping is due to sinus problems as similar aches have been before, not a dental problem--since I'd probably lose the particular tooth involved if that were the case). So maybe my feeling of the past few days that the world is opening to me is delusional. As similar feelings over the past thrity years or more have been. The one thing good about the feeling, true-seeming about it, is that I don't feel I'm about to become famous, only that I am about to get where my thoughts have a chance of being seen by the world-at-large.
I'm speaking of this blogging I apparently will be doing at the Teacherwide website. I left out of my first post on this that it's only a few months old but already has three thousand subscribers. That and it's being run by a corporation that seems pretty substantial (yeah, folks, I'm trying to go corporate!) is further cause for enthusiasm.
