May 24: "A major goal of poets is to bring the people who enter their poems to a dead halt in the beauty of their words, and in the beauty of what their words make and mean." That's how I started my latest post to the Schoolwide blog. I replaced it with something a bit less overblown.
I'm still tired from my stay at the hospital. I think I'm okay, though. I walked a mile or so to the hospital to get my bike, then did some marketing. I wonder if part of my problem is caffeine withdrawel. I don't feel any strong desire for any of the Mountain Dew I still have in the fridge, but . . . I'm giving it up. At least for a while. I hope permanently, for I do think it may be bad for my blood pressure.
Not much to say about my current predicament except that in two weeks or so I'll be a day in a hospital for a procedure to take care of the misbehaving circuit in my heart (as I understand it) that is causing sometime palpitations. The surgeon with push a wire through an entrance in a vein in my right thigh and on up to my heart. There he will in effect electrocute the bad circuit. It's suppose to get me better than I had normally been. So maybe this all will have been for the best.
I'll be taking it easy for a while, so may miss more entries.
