May 30: Why I need a better computer:
The poem is the size it is in my computer. When I print it out at 100%, the result is not much bigger than a large postage stamp. I don't understand this. In any case, I need more storage capacity because I need it bigger, with richer, more complicatedly interacting coloring, smoother edges (where I want smoorth edges), et cetera.
The poem, "The Arrival of the Quotient," by the way, is a completion of one from a while back. I improved the background, added the divisor (which I hope will be recognized as "wilderness") and tried visiopoetically to improve the quotient but somewhat botched it. I haven't figured out yet how to make a visual image grow as it approached the viewer. I did this one free-hand. (It swings around from its p before approaching, which is hard to make out.)
Hmmm, it looks better on the screen than it does printed out. Which suggests I also need a better printer. Certainly, I need one that can print works larger than legal-sized paper.
